Jan 09 - Training and competing in Colorado - Go Will!
Oct 08 - Will has been selected for the NZ Development Team for the 2014 Winter Olympics at Sochi, Russia.
He competed in the NZ Junior Nationals last week at Cardrona and came 1st in GS, 1st in SBX and 3rd in Half Pipe to win overall NZ Junior Snowboard Champion - thats my boy...
Aug 08 - Will competed at the Continental Cup at Mt Hotham in Aussie in August and came 6th -yay. He scored enough FIS pts to enter World Cups for the next 12 months.
July 08 - Southern Alps are pumping for the mid year holidays with a useful fall of snow last week that saw all Wanaka mountain resorts up and away for the 08 season.
Will's next challenge is over the ditch at Mt hotham, yea! Aussies highest resort hosts a Continental Cup SBX event on 9-10th August, hot on the heels of the Burton Open here in Central.
This will give the man a chance to test his mutton against those wiry ockers - Trans Tasman networking... bring on the young Aussies for our Junior Nationals in September.

May 08 - Will [18] is home from a rigorous north hemi campaign that took him from training with Jimmy Halepoff and Ed Maclaine of the iconic South Shore Soldiers at Sth Lake Tahoe to riding slick Italian Alpine Cable Cars at the Junior World Champs, to rubbing shoulders with a World Cup line-up of competitors at the Open Mens Canadian Nationals.
Now amidst dry-land training and working with the old man till the snow comes in.
There's a shot of Will breaking out of the gates 1st at the Junior Worlds in Italy in March. He came 22 overall but his metal was tested and he's shaping up.

Still growing, his solid form is fearsome when togged up in armour and full face helmet.
Latest achievement - April 08, 37th Open Mens canadian Nationals
Will has been on the NZ Development Snowboard Team and is recognized as a level 4 carded athlete through the NZ Academy of Sport's 'Winter Performance Programme'.
He is now involved in the team's campaign towards the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, and his personal goal is make the NZ Olympic Team for Boarder Cross for 2010.
His current sponsors include Volkl NZ through Gravity Sports in Christchurch, and Adidas Eyewear.
He enjoys continued financial support from his family, but I like to remind him there's no such thing as a free lunch...
UPDATES - Jan 08, Silver Medal SBX Copper Series
- June 07 - Will is awarded Otago Daily Times 'CLASS ACT', being chosen as an Otago High School student of excellence, from Mt Aspiring College, for snowboarding along with fellow student Sarah Battson, chosen for Karate.
-Sept 07 - Stage 1 Snowboard instructors certificate.
-Sept 07 - 1st SBX Junior Nationals, Day 2 injured concussion
-Oct 07 - Selected back onto NZ Development Team.
-Oct 07 - Selected NZ Junior Team to travel to Russia for Junior World Snowboard Champs in March 2008.
